Just to say a huge thank you for looking after my friend this week. As you know it is bad enough having to cope with cancer but the additional trauma of chemo therapy and having to wear a wig was getting her down. She is delighted with her new haircut and extremely grateful for your support in choosing and "dressing" the new wig to blend in with her style. Having this confidence will go a long way towards her general wellbeing and confidence in dealing with the medications. Many thanks - Anonymous

Many months ago I walked into freedom, with apprehension, and a sense of entrapment. Bound by others expectations, and held by grief I looked in a mirror and saw nothing - no reflection, an non entity. This hopeless person needed more than a hair change, what could change me? As I have returned on several occasions, the gradual change in my hairstyle has changed my life. How did this occur? The intrest, consultations have not only enriched my hair but taken account of my past and present situation, and also taken account of me, the person. Suddenly I could see myself in the mirror. I was a person not only a carer, I now have an identity. The personal interest, education and encouragement has enabled me to see a way forward. The aim of this salon is not only to achieve a nice cut, style and money in the till, but to increase understanding of self and how to cope with change. The integrity of the owner and staff reflect the continuity of team work, a rare thing. The way Irving listens, reaches decisions relating to what is best for the person, is also reflected in staff who work with clients. To conclude, this change not only gave my hair a new style, it gave my life a new direction, including a realisation, eg. I could be happy and have courage to face the future. In all my 52 years, I have never been so pleased and happy with my hair than when I started going to see Irving last April 2008. Whenever I was first greeted at the salon I was made to feel welcome, and special, by Irving and his staff. He is a hairdresser who listens and cares. My hair is so easy for me to look after now, it just falls into place, and believe me I have a lot of hair, poker straight and always difficult for hairdressers in the past, now it needs hardly any time in the morning, and that girls, we know is important! It looks and feels healthy and soft, he gave me a style which suits my face shape (and that is no mean feat), he helped when I needed a bit of cover up after an operation. I just can't praise Irving and his staff enough. I'm looking forward to the next visit, I know I'm going to feel good from the minute I walk into the salon. MORE HAIR was what I asked for and you certainly gave me that! You advised, cut, restyled and the result is evident. Not stopping there, you continue to up-date with style variations to keep the cut looking fresh.
